Welp, it’s been a minute since last blog so I thought I’d write a quick update on what we’ve been up to since last blog. It has been a busy couple of months! In roughly chronological order:
– We holed up at tiny (but cheap!) marina in St. Marys GA for Dec and the first few weeks of Jan while Terri wrapped up work
– Flew back to Den for three weeks over the holidays, of which:
– First two weeks were spent relaxing, enjoying the holidays, and visiting friends and family. That was super therapeutic.
– Terri officially retired Jan 3 ! She is DONE DONE.
– Third week (first week of Jan) we moved our remaining stuff from the Williamsburg house into the Cherryhurst house and turned Williamsburg over to her new owners.
– Flew back to Jacksonville and Uber’d to St. Marys
– Moved Luthien from St. Marys GA to Jacksonville FL. That move will be the subject of an upcoming blog.
– In Jacksonville, we are getting some boat upgrades done, including
– Major electrical system upgrade, including a big new lithium battery bank and new inverter/chargers.
– Replaced the air conditioner / heat pump in the “owners hull” where our cabin and bathroom are. It is SO much warmer down there now!
– I’ll write more about both of those upgrades, in another blog as well.
– We’re gearing up and provisioning for the big push to the Bahamas, hopefully first week Feb!
I have something I hope is a little more interesting about the trip up the river into Jacksonville, which I will post in a few days.
